Description:
JRAC is hosting a special membership exhibition, "Spectrum" to be displayed at the Buttonwood Art Space in Kansas City, MO. This is an opportunity for members to show in a larger market with no entry fee. This show will be accepting as many JRAC entries as possible but Buttonwood Art Space has the final say on works accepted. Entry does not guarantee that a work will be accepted into the show.
JRAC will be showing alongside the Mid America Pastel Society in December 2015 and January 2016.
A judge (TBA) will then view all accepted entries and awards will then be given to overall First Place, Second Place, and Third Place JRAC works.

Timetable:
· November 5: Deadline for applying via the Buttonwood Art Space website
· November 8: Selections made and notifications of acceptance will be emailed to entrants.
· November TBA: All works hand delivered to Connect2Culture office - work must be tagged and packed for travel.
· December 4: First Friday Opening Reception 6:00 - 9:00 p.m.
· December 4 - January 29: Exhibition open to public.
Requirements:
· The exhibit is open to all current JRAC members. Entries must be original and created in the last three years. No works previously shown at Buttonwood Art Space will be accepted.
· All exhibited 2D work must be: professional-quality framed or gallery wrapped (gallery wrap canvas must have the sides painted, not gesso, with choice of 1) continuation of image, or 2) solid color.), wired properly, and ready for installation. No sawtooth hangers or clips hangers will be accepted. All exhibited 3D work must be ready for installation and accompanied by any special display/hanging requirements. Pedestals will be provided at Buttonwood Art Space.
· There are no size restrictions (over-sized or heavy works may require the artist to personally deliver and install.)
· All work must be for sale. A 15% commission will be taken to cover JRAC costs. Artist will receive 85% of sale price.
· JRAC and Buttonwood Art Space reserves the right to refuse an accepted work because of unacceptable presentation or if the work was not accurately represented in the submitted image.
· All work must be family friendly: no explicit nudity or pornography
Liability: JRAC and Buttonwood Art Space are not responsible for loss or damage to artwork while in transit to the show and while on display. The artist agrees to allow the JRAC and Buttonwood Art Space, at its discretion, to utilize photographs or exhibited work for publicity purposes, not for reproduction.
About Buttonwood Art Space: Buttonwood Art Space hosts exhibitions in our 3013 Main Street, Kansas City, Missouri space. Over 7,500 square feet within
our office building makes it a unique place to find local art! Located In Kansas City Missouri, atop historic Union Hill, the space is provided through the philanthropic dedication of Jon & Wendy McGraw and Buttonwood Financial Group, LLC. Through the tireless efforts of the staff of BFG, and the leadership of a voluntary Art Space board of directors, Buttonwood Art Space has come to symbolize a quality community display space. They routinely host four to five “First Friday” Opening nights per year, are a member of the Crossroads Art District, and offer the Art Space free of charge as an event space to non-profit organizations.

- Fill out the "Register New Artist" form. You will receive an email from Buttonwood Art Space welcoming you.
- After you register you will see four icon's on the left side of the page.
- Click on "Artwork" - This will let you upload your three entries for "Spectrum."
- After uploading each entry click on the thumbnail picture of your entry.
- Fill out the information. You must write "JRAC" in the description field.
- Click "Save Image" at the top to enter your piece. Then click the "X" to close.
- Make sure to fill out the information and save it for each image you are submitting up to three.
- After completing the upload and filling out information for each of your entries you can log out.
- All artists will be emailed when work is accepted to the show.
